Seamless Round Polyurethane Belt (custom recommendation for high durability)
Customer Background
A customer from Poland using welded polycord round belts in roller curve conveyors was experiencing frequent belt failures.
The belts had a length of 245mm and a diameter of 6 mm, and were welded by joint machine.
Customer Challenge
The customer reported:
“We are experiencing frequent failures—the belts tend to break at the joint part.”
Mainly problems:
- Frequentbreakage at the welded joint
- Short lifespanduring continuous operation
- Urgent need for a more durable belt replacement with higher fatigue resistance
Puteken Solution
Based on the analysis of application conditions and cause of the failure , Puteken pointed out that the problem was mainly caused by fatigue at the welded joint under repeated bending stress during the operation of curve conveyor operation.
We put forward the following recommendations:
- Adopta higher-strength polyurethane material to enhance durability of the belt
- Optimized the joint quality and welding process
- Recommended to considerusing other belt types or structures (such as seamless or reinforced options) for better fatigue resistance
At the same time, we discussed the applicability of different solutions with the customer and helped them select the most suitable option based on their specific application needs, finally we recommended our molded seamless round belt.
Result
- Extended service life of the round belts
- Reduced maintenance frequency in conveyor operation
