Welded Timing Belt

Welded timing belt is a customized endless polyurethane timing belt, thermally fusing the belt two ends and joining into a strong and continuous loop. It is widely used in automation machinery, conveying equipment, packaging lines, printing systems and other applications where stable synchronous transmission and customized lengths are required.

  • Customized Endless Length: Welded timing belt can be produced in any required length without the constraints of mold sizes. This allows perfect fit for special machinery, prototype stages and low-volume customization.
  • High-Quality Polyurethane Material: Made from thermoplastic PU and steel or Kevlar cords.
  • Strong and Durable Weld Joint: Hot-melt welded joint with smooth transition and high tensile strength, ensuring stable operation and long service life.

Welded Timing Belt Description

Welded timing belt is manufactured by thermally joining open-ended polyurethane timing belts into an endless loop, providing flexible length customization without mold limitations. The belt features stable pitch accuracy, reliable weld strength and smooth joint transition for consistent synchronous power transmission. Made from high-quality PU with steel or Kevlar tensile cords, welded timing belts offer excellent wear resistance, chemical resistance and dimensional stability. They are widely used in automation systems, conveyors, packaging machines and linear motion equipment where precise positioning and cost-effective customization are required.

How to Weld a Timing Belt

Step 1: Cut the Belt to Required Length
Measure the required belt length and cut the open-ended timing belt cleanly and squarely.

Step 2: Prepare the Joint
Machine the belt ends into a straight butt joint or finger joint, ensuring correct tooth alignment and pitch accuracy.

Step 3: Heat the Belt Ends
Use a timing belt welding machine or hot plate to evenly heat both belt ends until the polyurethane material melts.

Step 4: Join and Press
Align the heated belt ends precisely and press them together under controlled pressure to form an endless belt.

Step 5: Cool and Finish
Allow the welded joint to cool completely, then trim excess material and inspect the joint for strength and smoothness.
