STD Timing Belt Description

STD means Super Torque Drive. STD belt is an ordinary type of synchronous belt, suitable for common power transmission and light load occasions. Compared with trapezoidal tooth, it runs much more smoother.

And due to their teeth are quite higher, it has high anti-skid performance. Puteken manufacture STD PU timing belt by advanced machine with the minimum tolerance. S5M, S8M and S14M all are available with Puteken.

How to maintain STD toothed belt?

Regular Inspection: Check belt whether have any cracks, wear or tooth damage.
Correct Tension: Too low tension will slip, too high will lead to premature wear, so ensure the appropriated belt tension.
Avoid Contamination: To prevent belt from oil or chemical corrosion.

What is the difference between STD timing belt and HTD timing belt?

HTD timing belt has full arc tooth shape, while STD tooth is semi-arc shape with flat top. STD is an upgraded version of HTD, in some occasions, it can replace HTD.
